  • The 12 jurors could have made a different decision, the death penalty was not in the hands at that point. They could have ruled guilty on only the 4 counts of lying and the 1 count of child abuse death. No death penalty for that, just some well-deserved jail time.

  •  In an ideal world with lots of money available, the U.S. would keep 100,000 troops in Afghanistan, build some bases, hopefully find a way to mine some of those mineral deposits. But we just can't afford it.

  • I think he was indicted on 20 counts of felony shooting, to hold him. They will try (successfully) to also bring murder and attempted charges against him.

  • Mental illness is mental illness. I know it is tough, but parents owe it to society at large to dig deep if there is even an inkling of a problem.
